Zara stripe knit, Country Road wool sleeveless cardigan, Sass & Bide Lady Day black skinny jeans, Rubi Shoes Lindsay studded slippers, Alexander Wang Rocco bag with rose gold hardware, Michael Kors Layton rose gold watch.

Woohoo day off! TGIF! Early this morning I agreed to take my sister and her husband to the airport, driving through the thick fog. Currently I’m surviving on minimal sleep (didn’t sleep until 5am… woke up at 9:30am eep!). Great way to start off my “long weekend”… Sometimes I wish nursing wasn’t 24 hour care, I hate having to work on public holidays. Anywayyyy.

This morning I had breakfast with my boy at Tuck Shop Cafe in the city. I’d love to go back, because it was so delicious and service was friendly. I got the baked beans, ham hock and poached egg, with parmesan toast (soooo delicious!!). My boy got their version of bruschetta (which included avocado, bacon, tomato, goats curd), which was friggen delicious as well. Nom! Afterwards, we went suit shopping for my boy before his vacation work at a firm begins in just over two weeks (so exciting!).

Not looking forward to work next week. Six days straight…. ughhhhh. Just need to keep thinking about my two weeks annual leave next month… YIPPEE!

I’d like to introduce you to Mr Wang. I have been waiting literally all day for him to arrive. Turns out I didn’t even have to wait, as someone was at home, and DHL decided to leave him next to my front door, alone, before quickly running off. How rude! Anyway, what a waste of my day off…

I took the plunge and finally bought my Rocco this week. I was going to get it, then decided not to, then finally gave in, and I don’t regret it one bit. I also wasn’t too sure about the rose gold, even though it caught my eye more than the others, but I’m glad I got it in the end. I mean, look at it. So gorgeous. Same goes with the pebbled leather. I’m in love!

Tonight I had brunch with my boy at Mrs S, which I adore. Decided not to take a little cake home, which I wish we did! We were going to go suit shopping today but my boy wasn’t feeling well today so I didn’t really want him walking around being sick and all. Poor thing.

Tonight I’m catching up with one of my girl friends tonight over dinner at one of my fav restaurants. Can’t wait! So I need to decide whether to take the YSL out or the Rocco… But I’m leaning more towards the Rocco cos it’s just too amazing to reject. Tough life, hey?

Get excited!

My Melbourne and Sydney trip in July is finally finalised. Eek, I can’t wait! Can’t wait to go back to one of my favourite cities, Melbourne. Alongside me will be J as I show him around Melbourne and experience Sydney together, as his birthday gift (which is in over a week’s time). Yay! Not to mention that I’ve managed to spend my whole pay check, which I got TODAY… And a bit more. *sigh* Bye bye, hard earned money.

Speaking of which, after having a horrible shift at work last week, I managed to have two nice shifts this week, of which the streak just had to be ruined today. Absolutely crazy. Doesn’t help that it was a public holiday today, so it was quiet as, and only the nursing staff were on… ugh. I generally enjoy afternoon shifts so hopefully I’ll have a better shift tomorrow… Which I can sleep in tomorrow, yay!

My parents (and sis and BIL) have been away on their China trip since Friday, so I’ve had the house to myself. Must admit it’s kinda nice having the house to myself but I hate coming home to emptiness. Never felt more lonely. On the other hand, it makes me want to move out more. They’re back in 4 days so I better enjoy this while I can! Get excited!

Apologies for all my late posts. Working full-time has pretty much given me zero time for myself and social life. Rather, it makes me crave sleep at all hours of the day. Working, however, brings in the big dollars. I haven’t actually splurged yet, which is a good thing, but I’ve wanted to buy something with my first pay check. Having nothing to pay for except petrol and phone bills means I can FINALLY buy things I’ve wanted go buy for aaaaages. Why save? I’m only 22, and I live by the rule that while I’m young, I shouldn’t be saving everything, but rather, I should be enjoying life and do what I want to do. I have a whole life time to save.
Hence, all week I’ve been doing some online shopping. Woohoo! I’ve also been doing some research about where to go during my leave, which has been approved. Yay! :) can’t wait! Phew! Finally get to make a decent post!

Incase you didn’t know, I started full time work as a registered nurse this Monday. For the past four days, I’ve been having induction and workshops. Today was the final day, and so tomorrow I have my supernumerary day, which is basically a day on the ward/campus, but not *working* on the wards. My first proper shift will be next week… EEEEP! So nervous. I was really nervous at the beginning of this week but now I’m kind of excited… Still nervous, but I want to see how I’ll go. Just hope the staff are nice and supportive. Hope my roster isn’t crap. Hope my manager isn’t mean! And hope I don’t do anything wrong! :(

Can’t wait till the weekend….. Phew! Finally get to make a decent post!

Been a bit AWOL lately, my apologies. Unintentional. Been busy with work (more like falling asleep during 2 days of induction), and J having his operation today. I promise I’ll have a proper update soon-ish!

Top: Zara / Shorts: American Apparel / Oxfords: Rubi Shoes / Bag: Charles and Keith / Necklace: Sportsgirl

So glad I got to wear this top today that I got from Zara in Singapore. It was meant to be for my winter wardrobe but today was so gorgeous, and so is the rest of the week, yay! It also appears that this top has made me look preggers in these photos. =/

I caught up for lunch with my two friends today. Finally got the chance to try out Cantina in Mt Lawley, and ohhhh my god I wish I went sooner. Must try it for breakfast. Om nom! After lunch, I checked into Witchery down the road and decided to spend the $20 that was loaded on my Witchery card. I saw a blue long sleeved blouse but it just didn’t fit right (was just too big for me *sigh*), so I settled on a scarf instead. No biggie. Can’t wait till winter!

After that bit of shopping, I made more holes in my wallet. I got myself the Triple J Hottest 100 compilation and Foster The People’s album ($9.99, what a steal!), but decided to not get Grouplove’s, The Black Keys’, and Matt Corby’s albums. :( Meanwhile, through work, J can get cheap or free tickets to gigs played at the Astor next door so I’m hoping to go to Matt Corby’s show in a few months. Yeow!

My final week of holidays is coming to an end and I’m getting slightly nervous, and sad. My outfit of the day posts are going to be reduced as I will be wearing nursing scrubs when work starts :( What a glamourous career I have chosen for myself.

Maxi skirt: Sportsgirl / Shirt: H&M / Belt: ASOS / Bag: ASOS / Sandals (not shown): Charles & Keith

It’s a 37 degree day today so yes, I am a bit crazy wearing a maxi skirt today. Oh well.

Tonight I’m making grilled chicken with caramelised peaches. Yummo! It’s been a while since I last cooked something. Hopefully I’ll have time to make cookies and cream fudge tonight (was meant to yesterday). But what I could go for right now is $1 Ice cream sandwiches from Singapore. Damn. I miss them. Sooo I’ve almost finished unpacking my suitcase (as you can tell in the background of my photos). Unpacking can be such a chore. Yawn.

I tried to upload my day to day experiences in Singapore buuut that’s also a chore and going through almost 2,000 photos between mine and J’s photos is giving me a headache. So I’ll try to find the time to do it some time.

Today is such a scorcher and so is the rest of the weekend. I totally did not miss the Perth weather while I was overseas! At least tomorrow I’ll get to see my family and Kenzie as I haven’t seen them in two weeks.

Today is J’s little brother’s year 12 ball. So weird seeing him all grown up. I remember when he was shorter than me, before being a teenager… now he’s practically double my height and attending his senior ball tonight. Talk about time flying by!

Day 2: Chinatown

We went to Chinatown for the morning to have cheap Hawkers breakfast at People’s Park. Sooooo cheap. And sooo delicious. We managed to find the two temples around Chinatown, which were a short walk away from the main area. It was a hot day but the temples were extraordinary.

10 days was not enough!

We touched down back to Perth late last night after an awesome 10 days in Singapore. We shopped like crazy, ate until we couldn’t eat anymore, and walked more than we ever walked before. But it was totally worth it and I miss it already.

I’m going to update my day-to-day in Singapore and hopefully make it short but sweet.

I have one and a half weeks left of my holiday before I start full-time work. Sad face.

Day 1 in Singapore so far:

Despite being told our flight was 35 minutes delayed, we were expecting to wait a while. All of the sudden, it was last call for boarding. We could’ve missed our flight in minutes. It was the fastest I’ve ever had to board. Literally took 5 minutes, and the plane was full. *confused* why the hurry? We were early anyway.

After a rocky flight, nil sleep on the plane, and watching the lightning show outside the plane, we finally in Singapore 30 minutes early. We made our way to our bags, and then got sim cards for our phones. Finally it was time to leave!

We got to our hotel in no time (roughly 6am). We registered our arrival and was told to check in at 12pm… Le sigh. J was starving, so we made our way to the MRT station right opposite our hotel (woohoo!) and I showed J how to work the ticket machine. We decided to go to Mustafa to get our money exchanged, and check out the centre, which is crazy by the way, and can literally find anything there.

We tried to find a place that was open to have breakfast, so we saw this place that was pretty full with locals, so it was bound to be good. We ended up having seafood noodle soup, and milo, for breakfast (yes, J being allergic to seafood, managed to eat the fish balls and whatnot without getting an allergic reaction! Hooray!). Total meal price? S$4.40. Win!

It began bucketing down with rain… What! So we decided to get J an MRT card, then head back to the hotel to rest. Now, currently, we have 2.5 hours to kill. Ugh. I hope the rest of the trip won’t be as rainy! :(

I cant believe tonight’s the night! Where has time gone since November!?! I’m impatiently waiting for the time to come. I’m sooo ready for this holiday to begin, after months and months of singularly planning this trip.

I have to think of something to busy myself with for the next 10 hours.

Today’s the day I’ve been waiting for for four years!

I’m finally graduating from uni tonight. I can’t believe how fast four years has gone by. When I went to collect my regalia yesterday, I missed being a student. I’ll miss being able to skip lectures, I’ll miss the student and concession prices, I’ll miss having a reason to go onto the campus. I certainly won’t miss the assignments and exams, though!

Still trying to toss up between heels or flats tonight. Being comfortable and not falling flat on my face, or style? Hmmmm.

Best part of a party? Left over food and cake. Yum!
